2024 Release: Remastered Fate/Stay Night Game for Switch, PC Worldwide
The gaming company, Type-Moon, revealed during the “Fate/stay night 20 Years Celebration” livestream on Tuesday that a refreshed version of the Fate/stay night visual novel will be introduced. The remastered game, entitled Fate/stay night Remastered, is set to launch on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam globally in 2024. This reimagined version will follow the Fate/stay night [ Réalta Nua] port framework with upgraded content. An enticing trailer for the newly revived game was shared by the company:
The game is slated to have playable language options in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. This remastered version signifies the very first instance of the original visual novel receiving an official English version.
The authentic Fate/stay night visual novel marked its debut on the PC platform back in January 2004. Following the initial release, the game was ported to PlayStation 2 in 2007.
A revised version, Fate/stay night [Réalta Nua], was ushered in for PlayStation Vita in 2012. This revised version featured new scenes, a fresh opening sequence by ufotable, and the expelling of intimate scenes. This game then made its way into the mobile platform in 2015.
Studio DEEN had the honor of animating the Fate/stay night television anime series in 2006. The studio also brought into creation the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works film in 2010 and another television anime in October 2014. The latter follows The Unlimited Blade Works narrative derived from Type-Moon‘s reputable game franchise. Aniplex of America launched the two television anime seasons in addition to the OVA on Blu-ray Disc in between the years 2015 to 2016, and then re-launched them in July 2020. Sentai Filmworks had released both the television anime series and the film in North America previously. Funimation also exhibited the television series earlier in 2009.
The first film of the Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel trilogy, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel I. presage flower, graced the top spot in terms of both attendance and box office earnings at the Japanese box office in October 2017. This film was screened in the United States in the period between November and December 2017. Further, Canadians got to see the film in January 2018. The second film, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly, was launched in January 2019. Screenings commenced in the United States and Canada in March 2019. The final sequel, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel III. spring song, opened its doors in Japan in August 2020. This flick played on American screens in July 2021.
