Alisa Added as Playable Character in Tekken 8 Game

The official Bandai Namco Entertainment‘s YouTube channel announced in a recent video on Friday that Alisa will be a playable character in the highly anticipated new game, Tekken 8.

The narrative of Tekken 8 is set approximately six years after the events of its predecessor, Tekken 7. The Tekken gaming series is acknowledged by the Guinness World Records for its unique feature of having the longest running storyline in the realm of video games.

Slated for release on January 26, Tekken 8 will have 32 characters available for gamers to choose from at its launch, with Panda included amongst the roster.

The game is presently under development for multiple platforms including the Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, accessible via Steam. The list of familiar faces returning as playable characters includes Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Nina Williams, Jun Kazama, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, King, Lars Alexandersson, Jack-8, Ling Xiaoyu, Asuka Kazama, Leroy Smith, Lili, Hwoarang, Devil Jin, Zafina, Lee Chaolan, Alisa Bosconovitch, Victor Chevalier, Reina, Leo, Steve, Dragunov, Yoshimitsu, Shaheen, and Kuma.

The predecessor of Tekken 8, Tekken 7, was released in June 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC, also via Steam. Moreover, a related anime series named Tekken: Bloodline, which explores the storyline of the third iteration of the game, Tekken 3, made its debut on Netflix in August 2022.
