The new game is expected to become available for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as PC via Steam.

Here’s how Bandai Namco Entertainment details the game:

Embark on an adventure in a desert planet plagued by an extreme deficit of water, where humans and demons alike strive to survive. Assume the roles of Fiend Prince Beelzebub, Sheriff Rao, and demon Thief as they pursuit the mythical spring hidden in the desert. While he introduces himself as an ‘extremely evil fiend’, Beelzebub is actually pure-hearted like a child but also possesses super strength and telepathy. Rao, a sheriff from a small town, turns towards the demons for support in order to alleviate Sand Land’s water crisis. They are also joined by Thief, a shrewd old demon with stealth abilities. As Beelzebub, the players are presented an opportunity to explore an expansive world accompanied by his singular group of humans and demons. Whether on foot or using various vehicles, players will inevitably come across both dangers and helpful individuals within the extensive desert while unveiling the many mysteries of SAND LAND. Activities involving character and vehicular conflict form a significant part of the in-game action. Players will be able to access a spectrum of vehicles which they can equip and customize to traverse the desert, conquer challenges and battle against an assortment of formidable enemies.

The Sand Land manga series, which is relatively short, was serialized by Toriyama in the Shueisha‘s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine running from May to August of 2000. A compiled book volume of the manga series was published by Shueisha in November of the same year.

An anime film based on the manga was released in Japan in August 2022. The film made its world premiere at the San Diego Comic-Con in July of the same year and is due to release in North America in 2024. Disney+ will also premiere an anime series based on the manga in the spring of 2024.
