confirmed in October 2022.
J-Novel Club has taken the responsibility of releasing the light novel in English. The first volume was launched in November 2019, with the 16th edition slotted for release on April 9. The story can be summarized as follows:
Zagan is a sorcerer of unimaginable power but leads a secluded life. His biggest challenge is yet to come… experiencing love!
Feared by all as an omnipotent evil sorcerer, Zagan is both socially gauche and profane. His only company is his obsession with sorcery and the occasional trespassers he wards off from his territory. A dark auction invites him one day, and he discovers a captivating elven slave girl, Nephy, on sale. Instantly enamored, Zagan invests his entire wealth to acquire her, though his poor conversational skills leave him at a loss to interact with her. Resultantly, an awkward living arrangement begins between a clueless sorcerer struggling to express his love and a slave girl longing for her master but unable to charm him.
Light novel’s manga adaptation is credited to Hako Itagaki who commenced the project on Comic Fire in February 2018. The first printed book volume of the manga, published by Hobby Japan, was available for purchase in August 2018, with the 11th volume released on December 1.
The English digital version of the manga’s first compiled book volume was launched by J-Novel Club in July 2021, with the 10th volume becoming available on January 17.
