bb Kuroda Launches New Manga on A Channel
The third month’s edition of Kadokawa‘s Comic Dengeki Daioh serial published last Friday that manga designer bb Kuroda is set to debut a new manga called Yashiro no Maō (“Yashiro’s” Demon Lord) under Kadokawa’s humorous manga magazine, Comic Dengeki DaiohG. The new manga will be featured in the magazine’s 125th issue, set to be released this coming Monday. The first nine pages of the manga were showcased on the Comic Dengeki DaiohG’s Twitter account on January 24.
The plot of the manga revolves around Yashiro Shishibe, a regular, hardworking office worker. One day, she’s confronted by the mightiest demon king who promises to assist her.
Kuroda premiered the A Channel manga in Houbunsha‘s Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine back in September 2008, which concluded in November 2020. The final, 11th volume of the manga was published by Houbunsha in December 2020.
In 2011, the manga inspired a television anime, followed by the two-episode A-Channel + smile original video anime(OVA) in 2012, and a new OVA appeared in 2017. The television anime was licensed by Sentai Filmworks and came out on DVD in 2012 and Blu-ray Disc in 2015.
