Dark Horse Comics
on Friday revealed its decision to postpone the launch of the hardcover Deluxe Edition of
Yasuhiro Nightow
manga, as well as its complement hardcover Deluxe Edition of
Trigun Maximum
manga, until Autumn 2024. Both volumes can currently be pre-ordered.

The Trigun Deluxe Edition had previously been scheduled for December 5 release in bookshops and December 6 in comic stores, while the Trigun Maximum Deluxe Edition had been planned for an April 2024 release.

Both versions will maintain the original 7×10″ page size of the manga. The Trigun Deluxe Edition will feature 672 pages, bringing together the two volumes of Trigun manga, while the first volume of the Trigun Maximum Deluxe Edition will consist of 584 pages.

The initial manga was featured in Tokuma Shoten‘s Monthly Shonen Captain magazine from 1995 to 1997. The manga made a comeback with Trigun Maximum in Shonengahosha‘s Young King Ours magazine in late 1997 and continued running until 2007. Dark Horse Comics had formerly issued the original Trigun manga and Trigun Maximum in English.

Madhouse created a TV anime series adapted from the manga, which aired 26 episodes in Japan in 1998. After over a decade, a new Trigun animation titled Trigun: Badlands Rumble premiered as an anime film in April 2010.

The Trigun Stampede anime was unveiled in January 2023 and finished in March 2023. Another chapter of the anime franchise is green-lit and upcoming.
