The official site for the TV adaptation of Q Hayashida‘s Dorohedoro manga series confirmed on Tuesday the release of an online-sequence continuation for the anime by revealing a teaser visual.

The backdrop is a gloomy city known simply as “the Hole,” where a gang of Sorcerers is brutally using residents as test subjects for dark magic experiments. In this bleak setting, Nikaido comes across a man named Caiman with a lizard’s head and no memory of his past. Their mission is to find and assassinate Sorcerers in “the Hole,” in hopes of killing the one responsible for Caiman’s curse. However, when En, the chief Sorcerer, receives news of a lizard-man killing his people, he commands a team of “cleaners” to penetrate the Hole, sparking a battle between two different realms.

Yuichiro Hayashi directed the anime, whose previous work includes Garo the Animation, Garo: Divine Flame, and Kakegurui. This anime was produced at MAPPA studio. Hiroshi Seko, known for his work on Banana Fish, Mob Psycho 100 and Vinland Saga, was in charge of the anime series’ composition. Character designs were made by Tomohiro Kishi, while [K]NoW_NAME composed the music for the anime series.
