English Trailer for Pokémon Horizons Anime Reveals Netflix Debut on March 7

Netflix has released a fresh English-dubbed trailer for “Pokémon Horizons: The Series.” The trailer unveils that the eagerly awaited anime series will make its debut on March 7, following an earlier postponement.

The Pokémon Company had initially set the release date for the anime on Netflix for US audience on February 23.

In this series, we meet completely new characters, Liko and Roy. it introduces Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly originating from the “Pokémon Scarlet” and “Pokémon Violet” video games. Viewers will also get to see the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza in its Shiny form. The series incorporates new characters Friede and Captain Pikachu, who form a Pokémon professor and Pokémon partner team, battling alongside Liko and Roy.

Saori Den, known for “Mirage Queen Prefers Circus,” is the director of the anime series, while Daiki Tomiyasu, with credits including “Pokémon Sun & Moon” and “Pocket Monster Mezase Pokémon Master,” acts as the creative director. Dai Sato, a notable name from “Eureka Seven,” “Wolf’s Rain,” “Samurai Champloo,” and “Cowboy Bebop,” is directing the script for the series. In terms of the team, Tetsuo Yajima is the action director, Rei Yamazaki designed the characters, and the sub-character designer is Kyōko Itō. With Masafumi Mima handling sound direction, the music is composed by Conisch.

The series was initially launched in Japan in April 2023 with a special one-hour premiere episode. The program broadcasts on Fridays at 6:55 p.m. JST (4:55 a.m. EDT)

The anime began its second storyline, “Terapagos no Kagayaki” (The Brilliance of Terapagos), with the 29th episode released on October 27 in Japan.
