EverdreaM Announced as Ending Theme Artists for Re:Monster Anime

The official webpage for the television anime adaptation of Kogitsune Kanekiru‘s light novel series Re:Monster; revealed on Saturday that the rock vocal pair EverdreaM will perform the anime’s ending theme song which is titled “Sadame” (otherwise known as “Unmei” or Fate). The GENCO‘s YouTube channel also started broadcasting a video announcement made by EverdreaM on Saturday.

The anime is scheduled to
debut
in April.

The cast of characters includes:

Takayuki Inagaki (Birdie Wing -Golf Girls’ Story-, Chio’s School Road) is the director of the anime at Studio DEEN. The anime is being produced by GENCO. Hiroshi Yamaguchi (To Heart, Comic Party, ToHeart2) is responsible for the series structure. The characters are being designed by Junichi Takaoka (Gravion). The music is composed by Go Sakabe. Photography direction is managed by Norito Kondo.

The color designing is under the responsibility of Yuka Kadowaki, while Kazuhiro Arai is the head of art direction. The role of sound director is carried out by Shuhei Abe, while the sound effects are credited to Naoto Yamaya (Sound Box). Nobuhito Kojima (Cygames) is the audio mixer. The recording studio is Studio TRON. Sound production is credited to SABERLINKS and the editing is managed by Yuki Koike.

On the music front, Chansung, a member of the South Korean boy band 2PM, has paired with Japanese hip-hop artist AK-69 to produce the anime’s opening theme song “Into the Fire,” which is sung by Lee Changmin from the 2AM boy band.

Kanekiru first shared the story on the Shōsetsu ni Narō website. AlphaPolis released the initial volume in 2012, followed by the ninth volume in 2017. The novels are illustrated by Yamaada. AlphaPolis is monthly serializing an ongoing manga adaptation by Haruyoshi Kobayakawa on its website, and released the 10th illustrative book volume on September 22.

The manga adaptation is being published by Seven Seas, with the eighth volume set for an English release on March 5. Seven Seas composed this summary for the manga’s narrative:

After a premature death, Tomokui Kanata begins new adventures when he is reborn in a world of magic and swords, taking the form of a lowly goblin! Despite his circumstances, the renamed “Rou” utilises his new physical capabilities and his old memories to make progress in this world where devouring other creatures allows him to inherit their powers and abilities.

Furthermore, the series inspired the creation of a smartphone game bearing the same title, where players embark on a role-playing journey as a goblin. The game was made available on Android and iOS platforms in February 2016.
