Four Knights of the Apocalypse Anime Casts Tristan Platoon: The Seven Deadly Sins

The TV anime adaptation of Nakaba Suzuki‘s The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse (Mokushiroku no Yon-kishi) manga sequel has unveiled the cast playing the Tristan Platoon. The reveal came as these characters made their appearance in the 17th episode of the animated series.

The actors for these characters are:

Atsumi Tanezaki in the role of Isolde

Shugo Nakamura as Jade


Sōma Saitō as Chion


Recently new confirmed members include:

  • Kōki Uchiyama playing Lancelot, who is a part of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse, and often disguises as the fox Shin. He is the child of Ban and Elaine.
  • Ayumu Murase voicing Tristan, another member of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse and the offspring of Meliodas and Elizabeth.
  • Fairouz Ai playing the role of Gawain, revered as King Arthur’s elusive niece and a vital member of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse.

The anime debuted in Japan on a fresh anime programming slot on TBS as well as its 27 subsidiaries on October 8 at 4:30 p.m. local time (3:30 a.m. EDT). The anime’s run will continue for half a year without any halts. Netflix started streaming the anime series from January 31 onwards.

The second cours (quarterly segment) of the anime started airing from January 7 onwards. JO1 is featured performing the new opening theme entitled “Your Key” for the second cours, and Zakinosuke. performs the concluding theme song known as “Mikansei” (Unfinished).

Maki Odaira (Pokémon Journeys: The Series) is directing the anime at Telecom Animation Film, with Shigeru Murakoshi (I’m Quitting Heroing, Zombie Land Saga) responsible for overseeing and scripting the series. Youichi Takada (known for key animation in Lupin the Third: Part 5, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) is the character designer, with Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto on board to compose the main theme. Yamamoto is also in charge of the other music, while UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS handles the production and planning.


Suzuki initiated the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine during January 2021. Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga in English both digitally and in the traditional print format. Here’s how the company sets up the first volume:

Percival, who has always resided with his grandfather in an isolated haven aptly called God’s Finger, high above the clouds, is in love with the peace of his humble life. Yet, he has always craved for some adventure. However, his life is turned upside down when a trespasser, who shares a shocking bond with him, shatters his peaceful world.

With no alternative, Percival embarks on a quest of his own to capture the one who has stolen everything from him. During his journey, the sheltered boy comes to terms with the vast realities of normal life. Fortunately, he makes friends who can help him navigate through life—but how will they come to terms with Percival’s fate… and its link to the world’s end?

The first installment of the manga recently wrapped up.
