Gamon Sakurai Releases New Sci-Fi Manga, The Pool from Ajin Series
The announcement in the February edition of Kodansha‘s Good! Afternoon magazine has revealed that the creator of Ajin, Gamon Sakurai, is set to release a new series called The Pool on February 7, as part of the magazine’s March issue.
The new series is characterized as a military science-fiction narrative, focusing on a team of astronauts and their commander, along with the fearsome entities they come across.

Netflix made the new episodes available in Japan three days after their telecast on Japanese TV, and startedstreaming the full first season outside of Japan in April 2016. Netflix started streaming the second season in December 2016.
In 2015 and 2016, the manga series further inspired a three-part 3D CG anime movie series. The manga also inspired a trio of OVAs that were included with the 8th, 9th, and 10th volumes of the manga in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Finally, in September 2017, a live-action movie based on the manga debuted in Japan.
