Heart Gear Manga by Tsuyoshi Takaki Resumes January 10 after 1-Year Break

On Saturday, Tsuyoshi Takaki, prominent Manga creator, revealed via his X/Twitter platform that his well-loved Heart Gear manga series will recommence its sequence on Shueisha‘s Shonen Jump+ outlet this Wednesday. This announcement comes exactly a year after the series initiated its current pause.

In December 2022, the manga’s most recent
edition, number 39, was released and it was announced that the series would enter a hiatus. However, a return date was not disclosed.

In May 2020, the manga initially took a break, this was due to health issues faced by Takaki. After more than two years, the series came back in August 2022.

The manga series was originally introduced in Japan in March 2019 through Shueisha‘s Shonen Jump+ platform. The compilation of volume four of the manga series was released in August 2022.

MANGA Plus, a service by Shueisha, makes the English version of the manga available to readers. The narrative probes into the lives of a human girl, Lu, and a robot named Zet, who lead a simple life in a dystopian world and their encounter with another droid, Chrome.

Takaki kicked off the Black Torch manga series in December 2016 through Shueisha‘s Jump Square magazine and concluded it in 2018. The fifth and last volume of this manga was released by Shueisha in August 2018. Viz Media made the English version of the manga available to the public and published the fifth volume in August 2019.
