“Hiiragi Mix Film” Premieres in Taiwan, April 3

Cai Chang Asia, a film distributor based in Taiwan, has announced that on April 3, it’s set to release
Eiga Given: Hiiragi mix,
which is the inaugural movie of the
duology
sequel anime
movie
endeavor based on
Natsuki Kizu‘s
Given
manga.

The motion picture made its debut in Japan on the 27th of January.

The anime television adaptation of the manga initially aired on the Fuji TV‘s Noitamina programming segment back in July 2019. This was the first “boys-love manga” to be brought to life on the Noitamina block. As it was airing, Crunchyroll carried the series and started to stream the English dubbed version from August 2022. According to Crunchyroll, the storyline is as follows:

The love for playing guitar and the joy found in basketball games seem to have lost their luster…

And then Ritsuka Uenoyama happens to meet Mafuyu Sato. Ritsuka was slowly losing his enthusiasm for music in his daily life, until he heard Mafuyu’s voice for the first time. This melody strikes a chord in his heart, and their relationship begins to evolve.

A feature-length animation movie based on the manga premiered in Japan in May 2020.

An original anime disc, also known as an original video anime, titled Given: Uragawa no Sonzai (Given – On the Other Side), that sheds light on the lives of Mafuyu and Ritsuka during the events of the Given movie was included with the limited edition of the manga’s seventh volume in December 2021.

Kizu introduced the manga in Shinshokan‘s Cheri+ magazine in 2014. The manga series came to a conclusion in March 2023, and the final and ninth volume of the manga was published by Shinshokan in September of the same year.

A live-action TV series based on the manga was launched on Fuji TV‘s online streaming service FOD (Fuji TV On Demand) in July 2021.
