The anime is set to
in April. Originally, the anime’s release was

Kazuya Miura (known for Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs and Kan Colle Season 2: Let’s Meet at Sea) is the director of the anime at ENGI. Deko Akao (known for work in Komi Can’t Communicate, Noragami, and The Case Study of Vanitas) is responsible for the series scripts, and Chika Nōmi (noted for work in Kan Colle Season 2: Let’s Meet at Sea and Kemono Michi: Rise Up) is adapting the original character designs by chibi for animation. The music is composed by Akito Matsuda (known for Sound! Euphonium and Liz and the Blue Bird).

Yen Press is distributing both the light novel series and its manga adaptation in English. Here is how they describe the series:

Witches- those mages with power so vast, sufficient to manifest disaster. Oscar, the crown prince of the mighty kingdom Farsas, lived under a curse from his boyhood that he will not father an heir. In his quest to dispel the curse, he turns to Tinasha, the continent’s most powerful witch. He scales her tower, as the wish of anyone successful in doing so is said to be granted. Yet, when he reaches the pinnacle…he proposes to Tinasha!

Furumiya (noted for A Pale Moon Reverie and Babel) started serializing the novels on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” website in September 2012. The novels, adorned with illustrations by chibi, were published in print by Kadokawa beginning January 2019.

The novels topped the charts in the 2020 edition of Takarajimasha‘s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) guidebook.

Naoki Koshimizu introduced the manga adaptation of the novels in Kadokawa‘s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in September 2020.
