New Arc of Sugar Apple Fairy Tale Novels to Conclude in 3rd Volume

light novel series, named
Sugar Apple Fairy Tale Gin Satō-shi to Kogane no Chikai
(Sugar Apple Fairy Tale: Silver Sugar Master and the Golden Vow). The book will be available from March 1.

Author Mikawa and artist aki introduced the new arc’s inaugural volume (image right) named Sugar Apple Fairy Tale Gin Satō-shi to Shinku no Yoake (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale: Silver Sugar Master and the Deep Crimson Dawn) in December 2022. The second book named Sugar Apple Fairy Tale Gin Satō-shi to Shikon no Rakuen (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale: Silver Sugar Master and the Bluish Purple Paradise) was released on August 1.

The new arc’s narrative revolves around a character named Anne who manages a quaint sugar candy shop nestled within the woods. She shares a peaceful existence with Challe and Mythril, the fairies, until she unexpectedly becomes the arbitrator for the sugar apple harvest. Anne simultaneously gets a perplex mysterious correspondence that is addressed to her late mother, purportedly from her allegedly deceased father expressing, ” I desire to meet you. Please agree to the negotiation.” Anne endeavors to discover the truth.

Mikawa and aki initiated the original Sugar Apple Fairy Tale light novel series in April 2010, which concluded with the 17th volume in February 2015. The original novel series released a novel Collector’s Edition for the initial three volumes, which was circulated in December 2022, February 2023, and March 2023. Yen Press acquired licensed both the initial light novel series and YozoranoUdon’s manga adaptation.

Alto Yukimura authored a manga adaptation that covered two volumes of the novels on Hakusensha‘s Hana to Yume Online platform from 2013 to 2014.

YozoranoUdon initiated the second manga adaptation for the novels in Kadokawa‘s Young Ace magazine in November 2021. Yen Press circulates the manga chapters in English in sync with its Japanese release and also publishes hardcopy versions.

The animated version of the novel series had its first airing in January 2023, while the second cours (quarter of a year) began in July 2023.
