New Game Teased by Toshimichi Mori and Toshinori Aoki’s Studio Flare
Studio Flare, a newborn game studio at the helm of ex-Arc System Works game developer, Toshimichi Mori, and the once executive producer at Marvelous, Toshinori Aoki, announced on the last Thursday of development of an upcoming game. The studio showcased three images related to the yet-to-be-named game.
Furthermore, the studio is actively recruiting talent and has listed job openings for positions including Lead Battle Planner, Senior Game Programmer, Art Director, 3D CG Director, Lead Animator, and Lead Effects Designer.
In February 2023, Mori and Aoki founded Studio Flare.
During his stint at Arc System Works, Mori had the opportunity to work on the Guilty Gear X game for a company named PickPack. Subsequently, he designed the successful BlazBlue fighting game series and played multiple roles including the scenario writer, illustrator, and producer. His expertise also includes game design and production for the Guilty Gear franchise. Mori departed from Arc System Works in September 2022.
On the other hand, Aoki has a history of producing high-profile games such as Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Daemon X Machina, Valkyrie Drive, and Kandagawa Jet Girls during his tenure at Marvelous. Aoki is also recognized for his contributions to the planning of Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid and Kandagawa Jet Girls anime series.
