The magazine supplement of
Young Jump Dai Ichiwa
has recently published the second chapter of “Bugego”, a manga created by
(the creator of
One-Punch Man
Mob Psycho 100
) and
Kiyoto Shitara
(author of
Katagimodoshi). This release coincides with the seventh issue of
Weekly Young Jump this year. Although the magazine acknowledged the serialization procedure for the manga, there is still ambiguity regarding whether
Shueisha will continue to issue “Bugego” only in the occasionally published supplement or not.

Both authors had released their initial manga chapter in the maiden issue of the Young Jump Dai Ichiwa supplement in April 2023. This supplement, true to its Japanese translation “Young Jump Chapter One”, is a compendium of the manga “first chapters”, envisioned by their creators for serialization. The readers then have the authority to vote for manga that should be serialized in the subsequent Weekly Young Jump issues. However “Bugego”, while it didn’t engage in this contest, still debuted its “first chapter” concept in the supplement. The second edition of Young Jump Dai Ichiwa also hosts a fresh batch of “first chapters” for public voting.

ONE started the Mob Psycho 100 manga series on Shogakukan‘s Ura Sunday platform in 2012 and subsequently introduced it on Shogakukan‘s Manga ONE app in 2014. ONE concluded the series in December 2017 with 16 volumes in total. The manga triggered three animated TV know seasons, with the third one airing in October 2022. There was also a live-action series for the same manga that premiered in Japan in January 2018 on Netflix and was introduced outside Japan in May 2018.

The One-Punch Man manga series was initiated by BOTH Yūsuke Murata AND ONE on Shueisha‘s complimentary “Tonari no Young Jump” website in 2012. The sequel is a fresh interpretation of ONE‘s original web manga under the same title. Shueisha released the 29th compiled book volume for this manga in November 2023. Viz Media launched the 27th volume of the manga on Tuesday. The manga’s first anime season ran in Japan from October to December 2015. The second season kicked-off with a special TV show in April 2019, and the first episode went live a week after. A third season of the anime is on cards. According to popular entertainment news portal Deadline Justin Lin is likely to direct a live-action movie version of the manga under the banner of Sony Pictures.
