Revue Starlight Visual Novel Unveils Opening Movie, Theme Song, Faces August Delay

The official Twitter page for the Revue Starlight franchise revealed on Saturday that their new visual novel, named Shōjo Kageki Revue Starlight Butai Sōzōgeki Haruka Kanaru El Dorado, is set to be released on the Nintendo Switch console and PC via the Steam platform on the 8th of August. Concurrently, the introductory movie of the visual novel alongside its opening song, “Star Darling”, sung by the 99 troupe started streaming on its official YouTube account.

The visual novel revolves around the 99th batch of students, who are gearing up for the 101st Starlight festival, as they enact the nautical-inspired tale, The Distant El Dorado.

The game will provide language support for Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. In terms of available editions for the Switch release, players can choose from three different versions – the standard edition, the Starlight Edition, and the exclusive Super Starlight Edition.

The visual novel, initially scheduled to be available in Winter 2023, is being released earlier than expected.
