Rick and Morty: The Anime Preview Revealed by Adult Swim

The YouTube platform of Adult Swim uploaded a video yesterday, giving us a sneak peak into the series Rick and Morty: The Anime:

The series will be released on Adult Swim and Max this year, and will also be available on Adult Swim Canada.

This project is an original work, with themes and events adapted from the main series.

The brain behind the series, in terms of script and direction for the ten-episode series, is
Takashi Sano
, known for his work on Tower of God, at the
Telecom Animation
studio. He had previously been involved with the animated shorts Rick and Morty vs. Genocider and Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil). The series is being produced by Sola Entertainment, and the producers are Maki Nagano, Max Nishi and Takenari Maeda. Yu Kizuyono of (TAF) is the Animation Producer, and Yuuki Kakizoe (RAF) is the Assistant Producer.

The Executive Producers are Jason DeMarco and Joseph Chou. The Art Director is Arisa Matsuzawa from TAF and Makiko Kojima from Studio Road is the Colour Designer. Sou Ki from Souki Production is the CGI Director, Kaori Kobayashi is in charge of special effects supervision, Tatsuo Noguchi (T.D.F) is the Compositing Director, and Yoshihiro Kasahara is the editor. Kôichi Iizuka is the sound director, and Tetsuya Takahashi is composing the music at Studio Terra-Musica.

The opening song ‘Love Is Entropy’ is performed by OC (from the band Code of Zero) and Cameron Earnshaw, with lyrics, music composition, and arrangements by OtoneZ.

The first anime of the series, entitled Samurai & Shogun, was produced by Studio DEEN back in March 2020. Following that was The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara, which aired in October 2021 and Rick and Morty vs. Genocider, which was released in July 2020.
