This reveals the game’s fighting mechanics and the intriguing social progression system between the characters, which is directly influenced by the player’s choices.
The game’s setting is 1863 Japan, during the Bakumatsu era, which marked the culmination of the Tokugawa Shogunate.
Rise of the Ronin is an open-world RPG focusing on combat. The narrative unfolds in Japan during a time of significant upheaval. It takes place in the concluding years of the Edo era, a 300-year period known as the “Bakumatsu”. The story takes place in the late 19th century, as Japan faces dark times. The nation is tackling its repressive leaders and deadly diseases, while the influence of the West grows and internal conflict continues between the Tokugawa Shogunate and the anti-shogunate factions.
In these tumultuous times, you step into the shoes of a ronin, a warrior who doesn’t answer to a master and is free to make his own decisions. Rise of the Ronin is a fresh experience offered by Team Ninja that immerses you in a world inspired by history and meeting the combat action you love so much, where katanas and other blades live alongside firearms, a composite that illustrates the unique traits of this era.
Team Ninja is known for producing games like Ninja Gaiden. Their most recent release, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, was launched on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on March 3.
