Riviera: The Promised Land HD Remaster Launches for Switch Feb 29
Sting Entertainment has unveiled its plans to launch the HD remastered edition of its role-playing game Riviera: The Promised Land or Riviera: Yakusoku No Chi Riviera in Japan, with the release date set for February 29.
According to the game’s official site, Steam, iOS, and Android will also offer the game. The enhanced version comes with fresh content, improved graphics, a speed-up feature, autosave, among other new elements.
Grim Angel Ein is the main character, alongside his party who embark on a mission to save the floating island of Riviera from devastation.
The role-playing game initially hit the markets in July 2002 for WonderSwan Color. It later got repackaged and was made available to the Western audience through Atlus and 505 Games for Game Boy Advance and PlayStation Portable.
Riviera: The Promised Land marks the first game of Sting’s ‘Dept. Heaven’ series. Other titles in the series are Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone, Knights in the Nightmare, and Gungnir: Inferno of the Demon Lance and the War of Heroes.
