The anime made its debut with a one-hour special on the AT-X channel on January 5. The series is available for streaming via Crunchyroll to audiences in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS countries. An exclusive sneak peek of the first episode was aired at the Anime NYC event on November 18.

The series comprises 12 episodes.

Direction of the anime was overseen by Mirai Minato (best known for Masamune-kun’s Revenge, BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense.) at SILVER LINK. The series scripts are penned and supervised by Deko Akao (known for Higehiro, Komi Can’t Communicate, Flying Witch), and character design was carried out by Saori Nakashiki (known for The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!, Tales of Wedding Rings). The opening theme song “FLY” is performed by MADKID, while the ending theme song “Aimai Girl” (Ambiguous Girl) is performed by Aguri Ōnishi.

The English version of the novels is being published by Yen Press, and here’s their synopsis of the plot:

Sasaki’s mundane corporate life is filled with work, leaving him exhausted and unsatisfied every day. In an attempt to fill a void in his life, he stumbles upon a pet shop and decides to bring home a cute bird on a whim, completely unaware of how life-changing his decision would be. Soon, it’s revealed that the adorable bird is actually a sage from a different world, who bestows upon Sasaki magical powers and allows him to travel between worlds. While Sasaki wishes to use his newfound abilities to live a peaceful and comfortable life, there might be multiple vibrant personalities who have other plans for him…

Kadokawa started publishing the novel series in January 2021 with illustrations provided by Kantoku, and the series is still in continuation. The novels have recently won both the Tankōbon and Novel categories for the 2022 edition of Takarajimasha‘s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) guidebook.
