Science Saru, MBS Unveil Staff, Episode Titles for 2nd, 3rd Collaboration Shorts

The animated series production house, Science SARU, in a recent announcement, revealed the titles and staff responsible for the second and third episodes of its partnered undertaking with the TV station, MBS. The name assigned to the second installment is “MOON Episode 1 Sandwich,” while the third one has been christened “MOON Episode 2 Camping.” These segments delve into the galaxies, showcasing the adventures of some free-spirited extraterrestrial beings and a spacesuit-clad dog, aptly named Eiken.

Eri Kinoshita is steering the commercial direction at this foray for the very first time.

Responsibilities for creating the characters, scripting the storyboard, and overseeing the animation of the second episodic endeavor lie with Kinoshita. The animation of the third installment is performed by Nick McKergow, who also shoulders its production, while the storyboard is crafted by Mari Motohashi. Concocting melodies for the series is Louie Zong.

Anticipated broadcasting dates for the episodes are March 8 and March 15.

The opening collaboration Short named “Ookuninushi to Sukunabikona” is expected to premiere on March 1 as a part of the “Super Animeism Oshiri” programming stretch, around the time of 1:50 a.m. JST, which would be the early morning of March 2. Directing the initial short is Akitoshi Yokoyama. The usual broadcasting day for the animation project is Friday.

The four shorts boasts different chief creators in their line-up: Yokoyama, who was the creative force behind (Cutie Honey Universe, Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut), Kinoshita, who served in the roles of animation director for Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, and Flash animator for Ride Your Wave, Eunyoung Choi, who was the director for Star Wars: Visions short “Akakiri,” and produced Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, and Asami Murakoshi, who has previously worked as animation director for The Heike Story and key animator for Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!.
