Sonic the Hedgehog 3: Live-Action Film with Jim Carrey’s Return
As disclosed by the popular news and entertainment website Variety, the esteemed actor, Jim Carrey, is set to reprise his role as Dr. Robotnik in the forthcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 live-action movie. In order to build anticipation for the film, the official Twitter account for the movie offered fans a sneak peek at the logo on Friday:

The unveiled logo and accompanying tweet indirectly refers to a character which was surprisingly revealed in the after-credit scenes of the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie.
In April 2022, Carrey previously hinted that he might quit acting after wrapping up the prior Sonic movie.
It has been confirmed that the movie is scheduled to hit cinemas on the 20th of December.

Ben Schwartz (perhaps best known from DuckTales and Parks and Recreation) provided the voice for the movie’s main character, Sonic. Other main actors included James Marsden (known from Westworld, X-Men) and Tika Sumpter. Jim Carrey, known for his roles in The Truman Show and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, took on the role of the villainous Robotnik, while actor Idris Elba gave life to the character Knuckles. The character of Tails saw the return of Colleen O’Shaughnessey who reprised her role from the original film.
The franchise’s first movie earned an impressive US$70,002,074, earning the top spot over its debut weekend on the Presidents’ Day holiday in the U.S. in February 2020.
In February 2022, Paramount Pictures publicized the third installation of the Sonic the Hedgehog film series.
