Studio Flare, Toshimichi Mori and Toshinori Aoki Tease New Game
The recently established Studio Flare, co-founded by ex-Arc System Works game creator Toshimichi Mori and ex-Marvelous head producer Toshinori Aoki, announced its entrance into the gaming industry last Thursday with the development of a new title. The company also revealed three images pertaining to the upcoming game.
Moreover, the studio announced they are fielding personnel and are actively seeking individuals to fulfill several roles, such as Lead Battle Planner, Senior Game Programmer, Art Director, 3D CG Director, Lead Animator, and Lead Effects Designer.
Studio Flare was founded in February 2023 by Mori and Aoki.
Mori, who previously worked at Arc System Works while contributing to the Guilty Gear X game for another company, PickPack, later conceptualized the popular BlazBlue fighting game series in various capacities such as scenario writer, illustrator, and producer. Mori also held the dual role of designer and producer in the Guilty Gear series. He departed from Arc System Works in September 2022.
Aoki has a prodigious portfolio in gaming that includes well-known games like Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Daemon X Machina, Valkyrie Drive, and Kandagawa Jet Girls during his stint at Marvelous. Aoki also worked on the project planning of the Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid and Kandagawa Jet Girls anime series.
