The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 Announced for April Release

The official site of the sequel to the anime The Irregular at Magic High School has today uploaded its full promotional video. It treats listeners to the opening, titled Shouted Serenade, performed by LiSA, and provides an introduction to the cast and crew of this third season.


A new visual has also been shared, stating “Magic. Is it a form of hope or a curse?”

As for the cast, Kikunosuke Toya, Tatsumaru Tachibana, and Houchu Ohtsuka join the team in the roles of Minoru Kudou, Takuma Shippou, and Retsu Kidou, respectively. The latter replaces Motomu Kiyokawa, who passed away in 2022. Other notable cast members include:

This season is set to premiere next April on the channels Tokyo MX, BS11, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, MBS and TV Aichi.

The novel series was first released in 2008 and it concluded with its 32nd volume, Sacrifice-hen/Sotsugyô-hen, in September 2020. Two “sequel” novels were subsequently released on October 10 and January 9 of the following year.

The anime adaptation debuted in April 2014 and consists of 26 episodes. A second season, The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc, debuted on October 3rd and consists of 13 episodes. The franchise also saw the release of the animated film The irregular at magic high school: The Movie – The Girl Who Summons the Stars, which premiered in Japan in June 2017.

The manga The Honor Student at Magic High School was adapted into a 13-episode anime that premiered on July 3, 2021.
