‘This Year’s TV Anime: ‘Party kara Tsuihō Sareta Sono Chiyushi, Jitsuwa Saikyō ni Tsuki’ Novels
On Friday, television animation production house Studio Elle revealed their plans to create a TV anime adaptation of the light novel series Party kara Tsuihō Sareta Sono Chiyushi, Jitsuwa Saikyō ni Tsuki (The Healer Who was Banished From His Party is Actually the Strongest). The novel was written by Kagekinoko and sketched by Kakao Rantan. The anime, rooted in Miwa Narumi’s manga adaptation of the novel, is set to premiere later this year.
The anime version of the light novel series will be directed by Keisuke Ōnishi, who has previously worked as episode director for popular anime series like Attack on Titan, The Case Study of Vanitas, and Kill la Kill. Kurasumi Sunayama is in charge of overseeing the series scripts. Yumiko Mizuno is the key animator for character design. Music will be composed by Naoki Tani and Tatsuya Yano.
The anime will feature the voice talents of Kensho Ono and Kaori Maeda. Ono voicing the lead character Raust (shown above to the left) with Maeda lending her voice to Narusena (shown above to the right).
The plot of the fantasy story follows the journey of healer Raust and martial artist Narusena. Despite being part of a first-rate party, Raust’s ability to use only low-level magic ‘heal’ makes the story interesting. As the story progresses, Raust makes friends who appreciate him and gradually starts to rise to prominence.
The novel, penned by author Kagekinoko, was first published on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in May 2018. It continued receiving updates till December 2022. Futabasha published the novel’s fourth print edition in August of 2020.
