Adult Swim disclosed on
Twitter on Wednesday that the
Ninja Kamui

anime will make its debut on the
Toonami programming schedule on February 10 at 12:00 a.m. EST (in essence, February 11). Subsequently, the anime will be available for streaming on Max the next day.

Update: The series will be adapted into a game dubbed Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins which will be released in the spring of 2024.

Adult Swim provides a description of the anime:

Ninja Kamui is centered around Joe Higan, a Nukenin – an ex-ninja who has fled his clan to seek refuge in rural America with his family. One fateful night, a group of assassins from his past organization unleashes gruesome vengeance on Joe and his family for being disloyal to their ancestral code. However, seeming dead, Joe arises as his past self – Ninja Kamui – with the intention to retaliate for his family and friends. As a ninja of the 21st century, Kamui is a dimly seen anachronism who employs his ancient abilities against state-of-the-art weaponry with brutal perfection. His task is to confront and defeat seasoned assassins, combat-ready cyborgs, and competing ninjas to overthrow the very clan that created him.

Sunghoo Park (Jujutsu Kaisen, The God of High School), is responsible for directing this forward-looking action/adventure anime Ninja Kamui. The characters are designed by Takeshi Okazaki (well-known for Afro Samurai, Star Wars: Visions, Batman Ninja). The series will be produced by Park’s new studio E&H production in conjunction with Sola Entertainment (Known for Lord of The Rings: War of The Rohirrim, Blade Runner: Black Lotus, Ultraman).
