Transformers Comic Artist José Delbo Dies at Age 90

José Delbo, the celebrated Argentine
comic book
illustrator, passed away on February 5th at the age of 90. He was famously valued for his wonderful work on various
comics, especially on Marvel Comic’s Transformers, amongst others.

The heart-wrenching announcement about his demise was publicly shared by his loved ones.

In the United States, his most recently recognized artworks include titles like The Spectre and Wonder Woman, which he beautifully crafted for DC Comics. His creative contributions between 1988 and 1990 were especially notable in the comic series Transformers, comprising about 25 editions — including numbers 36-42, 45-54, 56-60, 63-64, and 67.

The distinguished “Inkpot Award” was bestowed upon him in 2013 at the San Diego Comic-Con International.
