TV Anime of SHIBUYA♡HACHI, Mascot of Shibuya City Tourism, Launches in April

On Tuesday, the launch of a new site was announced, stating that the official mascot of the Shibuya City Tourism Association, acknowledged as SHIBUYA♡HACHI (pronounced Shibuya Love Hachi), will have its anime rendition, named the same. The said anime is slated for an April debut on the praiseworthy TV Tokyo channel.

The launch of the SHIBUYA♡HACHI TV anime aligns with the tribute to the centenary of Hachiko, the globally popular and loyal dog of the city.

According to the anime, HACHI, the emblem of Shibuya station’s Hachiko statue, has been a protector to the city. HACHI breathes life in the current Shibuya, where he joyously spends his day-to-day life in the company of his lively peers.
